Whiteside 1440 Plunge Cut Hand Grip Bit 1/2"SH, 7/8"BD, 1/4"D, 1-3/8"CL works wonderfully with Natural woods, composite woods, achieving great results at 12,000-14,000 (max 18,000). Highlights: These are mainly used for cutting hand holds in the center of the project or the front edge of stair treads. For CNC work, the plunge point allows for penetration into the center of the work piece. Plunge cuts into material with use of hand router or router table is not recommended.
